The Spencer High School JROTC Raider team had an outstanding raider season in 2009-10 winnining 1st place in the region in the female competition and placing 2nd at the state competition in the gauntlet event in the mixed team category. The raider team has continued to have a very successful 2010-11 season by placing 1st place overall in the mixed category at the Riverside Military Academy Raider Event held in Gainesville, GA on 25, September. The team palced first, second or third in four out of five events and was awarded the 1st place trophy along with 4 event trophies. The raider team recently competed in the Spalding High School Raider Challenge held in Griffin GA winning a 2nd place trophy in the obstacle course. at each of this year's competitions the mixed team competed with over twenty one (21) schools in Georgia. Most recently, the raider team competed at the  state  level in Windsor, Georgia. Thirty schools competed and through their efforts, they placed 7th overall and  5th in the Cross Country Rescue.
